I think I already know the answer to this question, but here goes. I am replacing my old filters with a new one and I believe I should run the old ones in tandem for a period of time. What I don't know is, how long do I do this? Is it necessary to run both of the old ones (two small whispers) or can I use just one? I have a 10 gallon tank and am switching from the whispers to an AquaClear external filter. Thanks for any and all advice!

I would keep one of the old and run with one of the new for about 2wks. You should be fine after that and then you could remove the other old one.
