Alright everyone, I have a newly cycled 20L
The plan is set as far as decor. It will be pretty heavily planted with some floating plants on top. It will include driftwood and river rocks (cleaned properly of course). I plan to cover the bottom with some type of moss (haven't decided, any good suggestions?) Here's my stocking idea. Now, this sounded crazy to me but I plugged it into the AqAdvisor and it said I was still only 76% stocked so here we go: 5 x Black Neon Tetra (Hyphessobrycon herbertaxelrodi) 10 x Endler (Poecilia wingei) 10 x Cherry Shrimp (Neocaridina heteropoda) 5 x Harlequin Rasbora (Trigonostigma heteromorpha) 5 x Panda Cory (Corydoras panda) I will have a seperate 1.5 gallon fish where I will raise brine as well allow the birth of the livebearers babies before they are taken to my LFS. I have a Quiet Flow 20 (two 10s actually but I figure it's the same basic thing if not more actually) and I will do 20-30% water changes weekly. Is this stock possible? Will they be happy if it's well planted with plenty of places to hide? On a side note, will a tank that's raising live brine be a good tank to raise livebearer babies? Thank you. |

Fissidens moss and christmas moss make good carpets also, they grow low when kept trimmed.
The stocking don't sound to bad with plants and upkeep that you are planning.

would adding a German Blue Ram be a bad idea? are they too mean?
Would I need a pair or just one? Also, what are some ideas for some easy attractive live plants? |

I think a ram would see the shrimp as snacks. It would fit otherwise, but just 1
