Ok so what im wondering si what you think of the stand. NOt in looks but as in strength. I have my 20 gal on it now and it is solid. I stood on the stand with the 20 gal and i weigh 200 pounds and still the stand wasnt moving. Im gonna be adding my 45 gal to it and i have a peice of 3/4 thick oak plywood that will be under the tank on top of the stand for width, The stand is 32 inches wide and the tank is 36 so i will have 2 inches on each side of overhang. This is why i will have a piece of 3/4 plywood under it. The wood is strong and will support the tank from end to end not worried on that.
What im wondering from you guys is the stand. I added 4 2x4s to the inside for added strength as shown. 1 in front middle, 1 in back middle and 1 on each side in the middle. Thoughts...again i stood on this with my 20 that has been sitting for months and no problems.. - - - |

Looks solid enough to me. Here's a link for tank weights and such:

good so the tank filled weighs 515. The current setup with me weighs 425. I don't think an extra 100 lbs is gonna make it sweat

I personally would be more concerned with accidentally hitting the tank. I can be clumsy like that.

There is a good amount of room on the left side of the tank and the other side is the bathroom in the dining room. It will be snug but i wont have to go sideways to get by. Also someone asked so i gigured i state it the bottles are for my DIY CO2. Also in between these posts i just added some 1x2s to each corner of the stand on the inside. SO now i am very confident this thing could hold 1000 pounds if needed.

Looks sturdy to me. I have one of my 55g tanks on a old model floor stereo. I found one that looked like the stand to my other 55g tank and I bought it for $20
