I think your fish are stressed and if I had to guess your a good bit overstocked. Something I think you have been advised on before, if I am not mistaken. What are your readings for ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates?

Seriously? Aren't all my fish new world cichlids? They all get along the only one that doesn't belong on the new world cichlids is the hap. I also have alot of caves and everything with a ton of plants.

Ok i think it was the medicine i accidentally put a little to much in and so i did a water yesterday and now there all swimming back to normal!

Ok also I kinda of lied about what fish i have in my tank i just wanted to see what all of your reacitons would be. everything is in there except the 2 tex's and the fulu's. theres a person thats giving me 2 tex's for free and the fulu's im getting for free next week. Will the fulu's be at home in my tank because they are going to be my main "show off" fish. I'm getting them not just because of there colors but because i want to breed them, since there endangered I want to help add to there population and give them away for free to other people. The tex's im not sure about if I want to keep them but i will most likely sell them or trade for different fish.

I don't understand the thought of adding fish, adding fish, and adding still more when you're in the middle of problems. Do you really think the problems you are having are just what you have to put up with when keeping fish? Even without the new fish to be added you have too many in one tank. Your fish show signs of stress, which is really the killer in aqauriums. When a fish becomes stressed it's natural defenses are weakened against disease - any of them - and I know you just got over a case of ich. As long as you keep adding fish you will continue to have problems, that is the bottom line. You at least need to let the fish in there get accustomed to their surroundings....and that is not a week or two period, but longer. If you reduced your numbers your tank may not have that "really cool" look of wall-to-wall fish, but they will at least be healthy and you won't be having issues every other week. We've all been through it at least once. It's ashamed that you have such nice fish....I feel sorry for them.

lol, oops I forgot to say that i got a 125 gallon tank (another great find on craigslist for a whopping 50 dollars). lol forgot about that! Im going to put my fulu's in there along with my plants and other fish. but im going to let the guys in the 55 heal up and recover for a year or a couple of months becuase they are already stressed enough. Then atleast the wisteria will grow better and get rooted pretty well before i introduce the convicts and everyone.
I can't believe i forgot to say that! Oh, and yes its been cycled already.

I "might" get two firemouths or salvini's(i think thats what there called) or one green terror. Then thats IT! no More!. I'm going to turn it into a new world cichlid tank.

With the fulus, they will cross breed with a hap, as the fulus are haps. If your wanting to help with the conservation of them you will need to set them up in a tank by themselves. We have hundreds of them here in our area club. They can't hardly give them away.
Fulus are from lake victoria and aren't new worlds. I have 4 types of the victorians and keep each in seperate tanks to prevent cross breeding.
