Hi peps
I have a 44gal heavily planted setup. Current fish are 10 Neon Tetras, 4 Sterbai Corydoras, 3 Zebra Loach, 2 Bolivian Ram Cichlids and 1 L140 sp. Pleco. What would be a good fish to get next? if at all..... I was thinking of a pair of German Blue Rams. I realize the Bolivians could be an issue but i have 200million hiding spots and plenty of territory left. I was also thinking of say 6 Harlequin Rasboras. I dont want to get another type of tetra and would like something with a bit of personality, hence the GBR. What do you out there think? |

If you can find them, Emerald-Eye Rasboras are exceptionally cool and peaceful. I plan on putting a school of them in my Mekong River Biotope. You can mail-order them from LiveAquaria.

I would try some Marble Hatchets and Pigmy Corys. For active fish, add a school of 5 Congo Tetras or Neon Rainbows. Both fish are intense surface feeders and tend to swim at the top 1/3 of the tank only.

Hey I have tried mixing Bolivian rams with gold and blue, I have seen no issues with mixing the 2 in my 55gal, the small rams are hard to keep alive at least in my personal experience.
