Ok, so I have a Marineland penguin Bio- wheel 150, and when I checked it this morning everything was running great. But, I went to check it this afternoon and the bio- wheel itself is running extrmely slowly, and sonetimes even stops. Water is still coming out, it just isnt making the wheel spin. Has anyone else expirinced this problem? What is wrong?

I have the same filter, and i have the same problem..Its really not a big deal, mine started doing that after a month and ive had it for a year.No worries, just dirty or clogged i guess. It wont make it run any worse than it did when the wheel spun.

I have the same one but ive never had this problem the only thing i could tell you io to clean the ends idk. you don't need the wheel anyways it used mostly for saltwater tanks, freshwater tanks don't need the wheel.

The wheel is good for holding the bacteria. you could take it out and in a bucket of tank water rinse it off and "de gunk" it so to speak. It may run a little better?
