Thinking of getting a marineland 160 for my 29 gal tank, anyone using one and pro's/con's with the unit ?
In past aquariums I've used a marineland 350 and a marineland H.O.T magnum 250, both did an excellent job though the H.O.T was hard to prime without getting air trapped inside which made the impeller sound like a quizzinart until you finally purged it all out. What I like about the marineland 160 is that it's a 3 stage filter, the previous mentioned filters I had you were limited to either a single round paper filter tube or a charcoal bin with a porous screen pad that slid over the charcoal bin. |
