Default made a few changes to my tank(s) this week

so at the begining of the week i had my 40 tall and that was it. i decided to buy a 10g to get my tetras, dwarf gourami, and guppies out of my 40 so i could place some new guys in there. i was talking with my girlfriend and told her i split my tank and she supprised me with some kuhli loaches and a peacock eel. as much as i love the fish this ended up with more money spent on a substrate change so these guys felt at home. so after a days work i had some new guys in my 40 a new sub and a 10 to put by my bed. a few days later i noticed how messy sand can look from .... poop, so i went by lfs and picked up some cory cats, baught two and got a one eyed albino thrown in for FREE! so after all that work my icing on the cake was my new one eyed albino who is now named blackbeard.

Sounds great, but Cory's don't eat other fish's poop... you have to feed them bottom feeder pellets. (Sinking shrimp pellets for instance.) It's a myth that they will scavenge off of other fish's waste and will starve if they don't get their own food. It's best to feed them about 1/2 an hour after lights out so the other fish don't steal their food.

The Khuli's would be fine in gravel as long as it's not sharp and there are lots of places for them to hide. I've got gravel mixed with eco-complete and lots of plants, rocks and wood and I've got 7 three line Corys in the tank. I'll be getting 5 Khuli's next month. Everything I've read says that as long as the gravel isn't sharp and they can hide in plants/wood/rocks, they will be fine.
