ok guys. i have a slight issue with lighting in my 15 gal. there seems to be some dark spots in my aquarium where the light isnt really getting too im using a 5500k fluorescent natural daylight bulb is there any way to make it better im thinking some tin foil or the inside of a mylar balloon but id like a second opinion
maybe a brighter light color like 6500k i dont wanna go much higher than that THX GUYS!!

6700K would be a great way to go, but I wouldn't put tin foil in the housing for fear of it melting and screwing things up. Maybe clean the splash screen on the hood?

Foil won't melt. Would take some extreme heat to do that and would probably catch fire by that point. It is used in an oven, right?
