Default large pleco???

hello again i was gonna ask about this in my last post but didnt want to make the last one any longer so ill just start a new thread. lol. any ways my buddys grandpa has a pleco in a 10 gallon tank and he has had it for about 4 or 5 years and it started out in a little tiny 2 gallon tank then his grandpa got a 10 gallon for him a couple years ago and he is pretty big in that little tank his grandpa said that he was pretty much just waiting for it to die cause he is old and tired of takin care of it. the pleco is about 8 or 9 inches long and pretty fat, but i was wonderin how you would think it would do if i moved it into my 55 gallon with the fish that are in there now. i just dont want to see a big beautiful fish like that die because of lack of care. i know he would be well cared for with me, and and probably happier in a bigger tank with room to turn around. do you think i should "ADOPT" this little fella? as always i appriciate any input.

I would think the fish is stunted and will not grow any larger. Go for it.

A 55G is a hell of an improvement from a 10G, I think he'll do just fine but if he gets over a foot it might be time to trade him in or find a bigger tank for him.

I think at the age he is, he probably won't get any longer. Too bad though as they are beautiful fish. I love watching mine.
