I know a few of you use this food. What do you recommend? There are just too many choices. I was thinking of getting a few different kinds of the food and mixing them. Just curious what you have had success with.
I have Mollies, Platies, Guppies, Swordtails, Angels, Tetras, Gouramis, Cories and fry from my livebearers. |

egg flake for the fry, earthworm, beefheart, colormax, veggie flake mix for the adults
I use egg flake, veggie, beefheart, angel, cichlid, colormax, and his veggie flakes as well as freeze dried tubifex as daily diet. What you need to do is read the descriptions then compare the percentages of stuff at the bottom of each food option. I feed higher protein foods so anything under 44% is not getting my money. |

Okay, good info. Thanks.
It's a little overwhelming (reading all of the descriptions) when you want to get all you need in one order. |

+1 on what whiteglove says, I also buy one with garlic in it. Cories really love the earthworm sticks. I buy most of his different sticks. I also get the decaps for fry and my shrimp as its small enough for fry to consume. Golden pearls is another one that I get for fry.

I started using the fish sticks with calcium for my RCS, and they love it. I also got some flake food, but haven't run out of the old stock.

When you feed as many fish as I do you always go for the best at the cheapest price. I even order my prime through kens. Of course I buy the 2 liter bottles.

I placed my order last night. You guys notice a difference in your fish's health over using other foods? I have been using Extreme flakes....I know it's one of the better foods out there.

Man, this sounds like an awesome fish food retailer. Might have to buy some stuff from him/them.

I'll give them a try, my fish don't eat the tubefix worms. Tried them once was a waste of money for me. I usually spend around 100.00 an order from there. Or a friend and I go together and order and it usually hits close to 300.

How old do you let your food before you throw it out? 1/2 pound of food can go a long way for most of us.

With 47 tanks a 1/2 pound of food don't go very far. Even so he packs his foods in airtight bags and will keep awhile. You can also put it into a fridge to keep longer if needed.

I order a 3 month supply at first usually a pound of each flake, I toss what I dont use right away back into a vacuum sealed bag then bag it again then toss in the freezer till I need it again.
