Default Inexpensive Moonlighting

Just finished setting up my 1st DIY moonlighting set up. One word. Awesome. I pasted a link below for the lights. They are the perfect brightness. Watching the fish under the light is really cool. When I figure out how to get a decent pic, ill upload it.

I have made my own works great. I built a custom light top that houses my aquarium lights and i use blue led christmas lights inside. They are both running on timers i set the moonlights to come on about 15 min before the regular lights go off. They run about 5 hrs or so. The main reason i use them for night lites is because i sleep in my tv/aquarium room. I have 3 large dogs that stay with me. If i get up during the night i will not trip over them.
On my 72 bow front i have experimented with white leds which still have a blue tint to them kinda remind me of a cool winters night moon. My best description of this is when you walk outside on a full moon in the winter outside you can see everything but its still dark. I still have to figure out how to link the pics to my uploaded pics. I read the rules and will see if i can figure it out. The camera was set on sensitive so they are a bit brighter in the pic then they actually are in person

You actually stick the lights and wires in the water?

I made a hood that goes over the glass tops that house the leds and florescent lights. The red one in the water mill house is a 3 bulb underwater led. I had 30 bulb led underwater lights but they started to leak and started shorting out bulbs

Tip: If your LEDs are spotlighting or creating hotspots, hit the whole lens with some fine grit sandpaper. Works awesome. I just sanded my lights and they now fill the tank with an even blue glow, rather than a spotlighting effect.
