Default Im torn..

I cant decide on a pair of dwarf gouramis or a pair of angle fish for my 55 in my signature. I like both a lot, and realistically i could probably do both but i don't know what i want. And at one point in the future id like to add 6 Serape tetras.

Any opinions??

I am personally a fan of gouramis I really like them. If you only want a pair you should do male and female as the males will get territorial with other males.

IMO, a 55g is not quite enough space for more than one Gourami. They are very territorial and will fight each other until one is dead. You may be able to get away with it if there are plants in there to break up a little. It's a risk.

Me?.. I bred Gourami's a long time ago.. thought their bubble nests were way cool.. now I'm rearing Angels and really find their courtship/spawning and parenting to be something fascinating. Plus in the Dwarf Gourami strain is a disease that is spreading across the hobby.. Bill in Va.
