I know I've been taking up a bit of space on this forum with questions, so from now on, I'll put my more minor questions here. Thank You!
1: my gold barb schools with my two cherry barbs, and bullies my Cory and kuhlies. Keeping in mind that I can't afford a bigger tank for more fish, can I help the situation? 2: my barbs eat most of the food befor it reaches the ground. I suspect my barbs are eating way too much and my loaches and catfish aren't getting much if not any. I have sinking shrimp pellets and fish flakes. Can I prevent this?

Dont worry about asking to many questions thats what were here for!
i would try to add more hiding places for your fish maybe that will help calm down the aggression

I can't remember any of your previous postings honestly, but it is okay to post mulitple threads. It is sometimes easier if the subjects are separated. The biggest thing is coming back to the original threads for updates instead of starting new ones. This keeps multiple threads on the same subject to a minimum...from the same person.

Ok, since I started this, I'll just post my second question about feeding.

The bottom feeders should be fed about 20mins after the tank (and room lights) are off. The total darkness allows them to sniff out the food without the other fish seeing it first.
If the room lights are still on, I've found that the other fish can still see the food and they get it before the bottom feeders do.

I guess you just have faith they get it, since you never see them get it.

This is fine as it is not the welcome forum it is the general freshwater forum at least on my end. Also Cory's like algae wafers too. Most other fish could care less about them. I feed lights on but have a 55 with just loaches and Cory types and a very happy betta upstairs.

your gold barb is most likely male and the other two are female. Adding more room will always keep the fish from being as hostile towards each other, but an easier way is just to add some good hiding spots such as driftwood or plants.
Turning the lights off when feeding is a good idea, or you can drop your food straight into the intake of the filter you have to make it sink faster so the other fish dont have time to grab it before it hits the ground. good luck! |

I found it posted in the welcome section and moved it here. You probably got an auto pm stating this.
