Default High temp during cycling

Does anyone know whether or not higher temps will assist the cycling process and bacteria growth along? It's not something I plan on doing. Rather, it is something that already happened because I was unaware that the thermostat was not working in my heater.

Thanks,

Sam

Default Re: High temp during cycling

The last tank I cycled stayed at about 78F and I did a fishless cycle that lasted only 12 days. Some say higher temp helps, but I think as long as you keep in the 70-80 range you won't see much difference. I've never worried about it.
