Hi
Ive just bought a very nice second hand tank that has a fluval 4 plus filter with it. Im totally unfamiliar with this filter and would like to know it anyone here has one and how it performs. Also like to know if I can attach an air stone to the outlet at the top or do I need a seperate air pump for this..Id like to put an air stone in the new tank when its set up as I think it looks pretty and also adds a bit of oxygen to the tank. Any help would be great thanks

I am not quite sure how you would attach an airstone to the filter, nor am I familiar with that type of filter. I would get a separate airpump for the airstone however.

Your fluval 4Plus is an In-tank filter right?.. If so.. it's primarily to remove suspended particles from the water column. And it moves a ton of water per hour. If ya want an airstone, buy a 10.00 air pump, a 4 dollar air-bar.. Don't confuse the two missions to come up with one solution.. Bill in Va.
