Question Gourami tank help

Hi All

I am after a bit of advice. I have a 32g tank, with 4 dwarf honey gourmis and three golden barbs in at the moment. I would love to get a few more dwarf gouramis of different types (fell in love with them). How many would be recommended for a tank my size.

Sorry to say, but for a tank that size no more than 1. Dwarfs will kill each other eventually as they are very territorial. I'd say that if you've gotten away with it for this long it is just a matter of time. I have a 29g that I have tried to add Dwarfs to it to go along with the one already in there....only the original one I had still lives. 3 dead ones later and I got the picture. Some will say you can get away with it with females, but it is still a crap shoot. You take your chances of losing them.

Agree, they are territorial little fellows. They are pretty much like bettas in the sense they do not like others of their kind in their areas, and many of them clam the entire top as their territory.

I myself would think of rehoming all but one,or setting up different tanks for the others.
