Default Is this a good 55g, or should i upgrade to a 75g?

-1 kissing gourami
-1 6inch gourami
-1 angelfish
-1 butterfly fish
-4 silver hatchetfish
-4 cories
-6 skirt tetras
-1 african featherfin fish

So my questions are:
~are these fine in a 55g? or will i need to get a 75g instead?
- if i need a 75g, can i add 6 more skirt tetras?
- if i cannot add 6 more skirt tetras, can i still add anymore fish?
~will the catfish sting(or stab) me when i am vacuuming the tank?
~Do butterfly fish bite hard?
~are any of these fish sensitive to medications (like parasite guards)?
~and lastly will there be any aggression?

Thank you so much!!!!

They would fit, but you have way to many top dwellers. I wouldn't mix a kissing and a different gourami as you may have some aggression issues there. The gourami, butterfly and an angel will spend most of its time near the top. If you would leave out the gourami or the angel and butterfly fish you could add 10 more tetras.

With the butterfly you must have a tight fitting lid, with no holes as they will escape and fly across the room. I've never had one bite me, even during feeding.

The feather fin is a syno and will get about 6 to 7 inches. A pretty cool fish. He will probably head to opposite end while you are doing tank maint.

As for sensitivity to meds, all catfish can be a touchy subject. they can't be treated with very strong meds.

Synodontis Eruptus - feather fin catfish

I would just increase the school of tetras to at least 10, you really don't need a bigfish in the middle, the angel will roam in the middle and top.

thanks, The only thing I would add is more cores, maybe 4 more and keep a good water change schedule. You also might get away with 1 more feather fin.

Lets do this instead...
-2 angels
-1 kissing
-1 butterfly
-1 featherfin
-5 hatchets
-6 cories
-10 tetras

So basicly 1+ hatchet, 1+ angel, 2+ cories.

Since i love angels so much, this is perfect right?

I have a pair of Pink Kissing Gourami and the larger of the two is a total jerk. He constantly bullies the other gourami and as a result I'm trying to find an additional tank to seperate the two. I would definitely recommend only having one gourami in the tank. I would also recommend nixing the hatchets for another type of fish. I had 6 hatchets in my 55 gallon and they really added nothing to the tank. They tended to group at the top of the tank and rarely move. It wasn't much to look at. I ended up moving them to my 10 gallon as the focal point. As a sidenote syndos are frickin awesome. I would love to have a huge tank with a few of them.
