Default going bigger

Hi I have an established 35ltr tank running with 10 small fish running no probs all are happy and healthy and water chemistry is stable and good. Im soon to move up to a 90ltr tank planning to move my 10 small in with existing 30ltr mature water from small tank and adding a further 40ltr of fresh conditioned water. then a week later adding the extra 20ltr to make tank full. do you think the frendly bacteria from my small tank could cycle the big tank. Or should I cycle my big tank from scratch?

The old water will not contain enough bacteria to help cycle the tank faster. If you are going to use a different substrate, you can add old subtrate by putting it into a mesh bag or new panty hose and lay that in the new tank, also add media from your old filter or transfer the old filter to the new tank and let it run with the new filter for a couple of weeks. The old filter should be enough for the fish you transfer but don't add any more fish for a couple of weeks to give the new filter a chance to build up bacteria. Then slowly add any new fish letting the new filter to build up more bacteria.

The method that has worked twice for me is to cut a 1 inch strip from the back of the old filter and put it behind the new filter. I take it out and add a new piece once a week for a couple of weeks.
