Anyone feed gel foods to their fish?
I am getting a couple samples of a new type of gelfood, one for the macs and one for the plecs, and was wondering peoples general impression of them. They have wonderful ingredients,so I thought it was worth a shot.

How do you feed them? Do they float or sink and the fish just pick at them?

You cube them, and drop one in.The one for the macs will float while the one for the pleco will sink.

This is what I make
Gel Food that I make for herbervores 1 box frozen spinich thawed 1 small Kale or romaine lettuce cooked to soften keep 2 cups of water after cooking 1 jar of peas babyfood 2 jars of sweet potatoe baby food 2 oz of spirulina power (you can also use tabs) 2 packets of plain knox geletin or agar from health food store 3 multivitamins (optional) In blender add all all veggies and spirulina and mix till pretty smooth Add packets of geletin to water that kale was cooked in (should still be pretty warm) Add to veggies and mix real good. Pour onto cookie sheet lined with wax paper or like I do go to store and buy some ice trays that has the smaller party cubes. Put into freezer, Once frozen it can be cut into bite size squared and put into ziplock freezer bags. Keep frozen. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For omnivores 2 cups water warmed 6 ounces of whitefish 8 ounces of uncooked shimp in shells 1 jar of sweet potatoe baby food 3 ounces spirulina 2 geletin packets 3 vitamins (optional) a few cubes of bloodworms and brine shrimp In blender or food processor combine everything but geletin and water, blend till smooth. mix gel and water and pour into mixture. Blend again. Using same method as above freeze, then cut and put into baggies, keep in freezer
