Fish compatibility question
Hello all,
I am soon going to be starting up my 55g aquarium. I know two fish I really want are african butterfly fish and tiger barbs. I know Tiger barbs can be fin nippers, but if I kept 8 tiger barbs with 2 butterfly fish in such a large tank, should the tiger barbs stay passive enough not to bother the butterfly fish? Thanks in advance!

if you get enough tiger barbs, they will be too busy chasing eachother around to really bother any other fish, so I don't think you need to worry. I have heard it's best to get an odd number of tigerbarbs. It helps to arrange the pecking order.
Edit: also, make sure to have a tight lid on your tank, I've heard those butterly fish are big jumpers.
