My take on a sort of southeast asian biotope. I know anubias is from africa, but I felt that it kind of fit, and I didn't want to relocate it just yet. Let me know what you guys think, so I can do any changes while it's still early. Hopefully changing out the substrate completely didn't do too much damage to the health of the tank. Excuse all the floating mess as well, My filter hasn't quite sucked up all of the junk. I plan on picking up a bunch of crypts to put in the far right, so I can hide my filter/heater, and am trying to find somewhere to put the marimo ball, because it looks waaay out of place. I didn't like the way the gravel looked at first, but it's starting to grow on me. Let me hear opinions/feedback/judgements on it, I'm here to learn!

Really good looking tank. I have somewhat of an artist eye and like the simple, clean lines you have there. The only thing I can think of would be to put something with a different color, contrasting with the green plants to sweep the eye over to it. A rusty, reddish something might fit the bill.
I can't really tell but it looks like some kind of black background or just something black behind the tank. If you like backgrounds, you might experiment with different ones to see what looks best. I have painted the back wall of my 60g, on my 55g I used a dark purple silk type cloth, on my 10g I spray painted a piece of glass that started light blue at the top and morphed to a dark blue/black at the bottom. But hey, it's your tank and it looks darn good just the way it is.
