Default Female swordtail passed away

Sol i was having minor problems (in my eyes) with my tank with brown algae so i decided to do some things to kill off the algae. Brown algea ..again While doing so my female sword died in the process. It seems her gills looked white on the inside. Also was sucking in water i think since her mouth was moving quickly.
My stupidity i left the lights off and stopped feeding to kill algae and not give them any nutrients to grow but did not remove my CO2, forgot. Only was about a 2 days with no feeding. She was pregnant as well and from what my educated guess is that she was gasping for breath. Since i have removed the co2 and turned on my aration. I disected her after i found her dead to see if i could save any fry and they where all gone as well. I counted 20 total. She was my first fish with this tank and she will be missed.

PS i have a male guppy that constantly was following and harrassing her. I put some of the blame on him
