HI there, I want to add some dwarf gouramis to my community tank. At the moment I have 3 adult mollies, 3 swordtails and 6 Molly fry and a rainbow shark. Going to add 2 female mollies and 2 swordtails. How many dwarf gouramis could go in my tank and should there be a specific ratio of male female? I don't have any experience with this species so any advice would be great. I think I will also be adding a few danios to complete the tank.
Thoughts? Thanks

either do 1 lone male/female or 1 male and x number of females (depends on tank size at that point as well as other fish).
Male gouramis are territorial and unless you have plenty of space with a lot of territory you definitely won't be able to do more than one male. You can do 2+ males if you have the space. Females are less aggressive and you can probably have more than one female just fine. |
