Default Drip method partial water change

When I do a PWC I use Hinkley Springs distilled spring water everytime. It is "near" the same temperature as the tank. My question is instead of matching pH and temperature to my tank's can I use the drip method over the period of an hour or so to refill my 10g tank?

How would one match the pH to their tank anyway? I'm a bit new and any help or suggestions would be of great help!

pH is around 7.2 I have always used this distilled water since I first filled the tank up. May eventually switch over to RO water.

You need to get a kh test kit and test that water. Water that is all distilled/RO water is a dangerous method and if you don't watch it you could have a ph crash. Knowing the kh will let you know if you need to change things up or not.

What most people do....there is no need for special water unless your tap has some issues.

You would need to go gradually if you change to tap, and it wouldn't hurt to know what your KH and GH are, as jrman suggested.
What are the fish species?

Ive never seen a drip method for PWC's, im not sure it will work as your water is room temp not tank temp. rule of thumb is no less then 5 degrees cooler then the tank water, this is mainly used to induce spawning behaviors in some bottom fish but it does infuse a fresh cooler water into the tank and all the fish appreciate this.

I use straight RO water, my gh/kh are balanced and have been for a year, I do not use any additives however I do have a circulating heated storage tank that usually tests just fine.
