Default Dead fish at the fish store

Yesterday I went to Petsmart to buy a few feeder fish for a tank I'm cycling. In their tank of goldfish I saw 5 or 6 dead fish on the bottom, and a few were being eaten by other fish.

Then I noticed in a Cichlid tank they had a couple of very large fish, but again there was a dead one in the bottom of the tank.

When I asked the workers about the filtration they told me that the water quality was fine, that the dead Cichlid had been put into the tank that day and the other fish killed him (I can totally believe that) and that the goldfish died because the tank was over populated.

The tank, however, wasn't overpopulated at all. So needless to say I left and got my fish somewhere else last night. Why take chances?

Locking this, lest it turn into a Petco bashing thread. In the future, please refrain from making posts simply to display the negatives of a store.
