Default Cycling help

I am currently in the middle of a cycling 55g with 3 feeder fish and 3 minnows. The tank has been cycling for 5 weeks now. The first like 3 weeks the ammonia and nitrite were relatively low. The 4th week about, the nitrite and ammonia were each at about .25ppm. So the whole first 4 weeks, the levels of nitrite and ammonia were quite low. Then, today I tested for them and ammonia was .5ppm and nitrite was 0ppm. What does this indicate? What should I do from here? Thank you for any help. PS: The nitrates I've only tested once or twice since they are much less toxic and they never were over 40ppm.

It may be that with just a few small fish in a larger tank that the bioload is low enough to just barely cycle. Chances are, once you start stocking fish to it it will mini cycle again, so when the time comes just stock lightly only adding a few fish at a time so that the tank has time to keep up.

Talk about a quick reply! Ok, so do you think that I would be ok to start adding my actual stocking fish (which may include the 3 feeder goldies)? The fish in there are very active and healthy looking.
