Default Considering a New Tank

Hey guys, I'm thinking about getting another 30G aquarium to go along with my current 30G. I'm not sure what kind of fish I want to get or how I want to divide my current stock but I was thinking something along these lines...

Tank 1:
12 Cardinal Tetras
12 Black Skirt Tetras
1 Bristlenose Plec
Handful of Ghost Shrimp
Anubias / Malaysian Driftwood
Aquaclear 50, 20, and 20.

Tank 2:
10 Cherry Barbs
7 Honey Fire Gouramis
Handful of Ghost Shrimp
Java Fern/Amazon Swords
Fluval 305 (rated 70 gallons)

What do you guys think? Would this be the ideal way to divide the 4 different types of fish? Also, how compatible are Cherry and Tiger Barbs in a tank with 10+ of each?

It looks good to me except for the 7 fire guourami, they can be pretty territorial and the tank isn't big enough to set up that many.

How many do you think is suitable? I have one currently and he's doing fine but doesn't seem as active/happy as he used to be - not sick, just perhaps lonely. I want to get more but I've read that (with a lot of other schooling fish) if you get multiples without getting enough there can be aggressiveness within them.

Thats true, but in a 30 7 will be to many. If you can get a male and females 3 would be the limit

I have a male and 3 females in my 20, with 6 Card, 3 Otos and 2 Frogs... and snails... (overstocked, maybe, but I have 50g of filtration on the tank,) but I was lucky that the male tolerated all the females. In my 36g, I had a dwarf gourami that killed all 3 females.

Maybe do 4 like Susan said..... you could try more, but it's a possibility they will fight.

I have tried putting more than 1 Dwarf in a 29g. 3 dead ones later, I figured out that they prefer to be alone. All you have to do is watch them a few minutes in the store to see how they can be. They aren't a schooling or even shoaling fish.
