Default Cannister filter for 55g?

The 55g I bought for the African Cichlids came with a big (to me) HOB filter but having used the Cascade 1000 on my 60g, I am inclined to want a cannister. I haven't touched that Cascade in two months and my water is crystal clear, all the time.

But yet, I am always looking for a deal. On Ebay, I see these Jeboa cannisters for $69.99, free shipping and $12.00 to add the media. Item290501276838, if you want to see it. Specs on it are:

Power and flexibility for the mid-Large aquarium. Single intake/output system pumps water through multiple filtration layers you can customize with the media of your choice. Ingenious double tap connector combines all valves, shut-offs, and safety clamps in one convenient unit. Includes one coarse and one fine filter pad, strainer, diffuser, tubing and hoses. both function in marine and freshwater aquariums

Specification:
4-Stage filtration (4-basket)
Dimensions: 9.1" x 9.1" x 18"
Voltage: 110-120V AC50/60Hz
Watt: 20 watt
Included two 5 feet green hose
Flow Rate: 320gph (non-adjustable)
Filter capacity: 8.1 Lite
Recommend Tank Size: 55-85 Gallon

This may have been discussed before but there are several threads about cannisters going right now and I did not want to thread drift. Anyway, I could get another Cascade 1000 for about $140.00 at Petco (tax, media) or this China thing for $72.00, about half the cost.

Has anyone tried one? What do you think? Money is pouring out like crazy on this thing.

Id get an eheim, you get what you pay for and if you get the right models they are made in germany, some of the cheaper ones are made in china. After owning several canisters from several makers, its eheim only for me from now on.
Also you need a MINIMUM of 4x turnover per hour so youd need atleast a 220gph rated filter. Also, it never hurts to go one or two sizes bigger then you need.

I'd look into a 2073 or 2075. They are Pro 3 models. I have a 2075 on my 75g. Awesome filter.

Well thanks guys. I ordered a Penn Plax Cascade 1000 today from Petmountain and should have it in a week or so. I bought it because I already have one and it works great plus it was about $75 cheaper than the Eheims. Sometimes there is a big difference between a hundred bucks and one seventy five. (ask my wife!)

I expect it'll do fine on the 55g as it is rated for a 90g.
