Hi all,
I recently bought a used Odyssea canister filter from an auction online. After setting it up, I noticed that the water leaves the canister faster than it can pull it back in. I have tried rearranging the media and even taking all the media out to see if I could fix the problem. No such luck. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or did I just make a bad purchase? Thanks for the help. |

Is your canister filter filling with air? If so, you need to make sure the inlet and all its hose joints and things are either submerged or sealed. Canister filters should fill with water even when turned off and then remain in that state (they are supposed to be entirely water-tight) during operation.

Suction head too long? Not primed fully? Air in suction line?
