Question Can thee fish live together?

Hi, i have a 50 gallon tank that has a cory 1 rummynose tetra and a black widow tetra. i was planning to get 10 platies and 10 guppies. I was wondering if these fish will be fine together. I had to move the tank about 4 days ago so the water parameters would not be relevant yet however i will get them tested before buying the fish. The tank has great filtration and i have a ton of equipment

Tetras and Corys are schooling fish so please add more of them. Minimum school size should be six. Add a few Otos, they are great for cleaning up Algae. If you like them, add a couple of Plecos; they would get large in your tank.

I see what you mean... I have 2 Cardinal Tetras and 3 Chili Rasboras, which should all be in schools of 6 or more, but they are what's remaining from schools that have died out, and I want to get into other fish.

What about the Cory though? Is he a remainder? If he's not, then I would get about 5 more for him.

Platies and guppies are fine together. Oto cats will make great algae eaters, as was mentioned above. If you do decide to go with a Pleco, Bushy Nose Plecos or Clown Plecos are good because they only get about 4 inches. (Plecos do poop a lot though... downside...) Oh, and Plecos need drift wood to rasp on. It's good for Oto cats as well, but in my 10g I didn't have it with the Otos and they were fine.

10 corys, 10 of each species of tetra, 10 platys, and 10 guppys would be nice. That would provide for a lot of movement. Hope you plan on dealing with a lot of babies!!

That is a lot of fish for a 50g, especially since live bearers breed like crazy, lol! Maybe add more cories and go with the platies and guppies, just in smaller numbers? (And make sure you have a lfs that will take all the babies off your hands.) Or, just keep males.... that's what I do when I keep guppies.
