Default Can I?

Would I be able to keep cherry barbs with Otos I'm going to try to breed? If the Otos spawned, would the cherry barbs eat the eegs/fry? any information would be greatly appreciated!

NOTE: See signature for plans of tanks.
PS: I don't know what types of plants I'm going to put in there.

Cherry barbs are peaceful enough that you might not have any problems. However, unless the fish are hard core vegans, you'll always run in to the possibility of the barbs pecking at eggs or tiny moving fry if they see them. So make sure there is tons and tons of cover if you are successful with breeding the otos! Java moss or something similar will be a boon for providing hiding spots.

What types of shrimp would I be able to keep with the Otos? I was thinking tiger shrimp but these are kinda big. Would I have any problems with the Tiger shrimp eating eggs/fry? What about ghost shrimp? Which would you choose?

You could do any kind of freshwater shrimp that you feel comfortable with. Ghost shrimp are easy to keep and being extremely cheap comes in handy in case you have some loss.

I wouldn't worry about shrimp going after the eggs. Assuming the eggs aren't right in their face and most likely up a little higher then the shrimp probably won't find them. With fish in a tank shrimp TEND to stay closer to the ground and by cover... but that's not always the case.

Bamboo shrimp might be a good choice if you have the proper set up for them. They're larger but extremely peaceful and wouldn't hurt an egg unless it was super, super tiny and flying right into their face. Hehe.
