One Gourami and 4 Cherries will probably only consume 1/4 of a cube at the most.

This is what I do for both frozen blood worms and brine shrimp:

1) Get a bowl specifically used for this purpose (i.e. not one you eat from or one that has had chemicals/cleaning products in it) and dip it into the aquarium to get some water.

2) Cut the cube in half and put one half in the bowl, other half back in the package and in the freezer to be used later. (If you can cut 1/4 or other exact proportions, go ahead, but they can be difficult to cut exactly and sometimes cut in irregular shapes).

3) Let the bowl sit for a few minutes so the shrimp break apart (you can see their eyes and such, kinda sad personally). You can swish the bowl around or push the cube down to speed this process up.

4) Pour a small amount in the water near the fish. The shrimp readily sink. I try to put in about 1.5x the amount of shrimp than how many fish I have because I want some to drop for my Ghost Shrimp.

5) After the fish have finished eating their one shrimp, repeat. Do this about 4-5 times or until the fish don't seem interested/hungry anymore. Your Gourami will probably eat 3x as much as your Barbs. If you have to dip the bowl in the tank to get more water (if the shimp stick together in the bowl for instance), do so.

6) Put Seran wrap over the bowl if any extra shrimp are left and put the bowl in the fridge. Next time you feed, try to get as much of the old water out of the bowl before putting the new tank water in.

Hello A...

How you feed the frozen brine shrimp depends on the size and number of fish you have in the tank. I have tanks of Fancy Guppies and just take a sharp knife and cut the big squares into little squares. I drop half a dozen small chunks in the tank and everything is gone in less than a minute.

I actually laughed out loud! Adorable! (Lol, I'm much the same way as I used to have a sea monkey kit... poor little guys!)

Also, if you put the bowl on top of the fish light the warmth helps speed up the melting... that's what I do anyway.
