i woke up this morning and my Blue G. was very round in the torso region... and i saw some poop floating that looked like it was in a clear sleeve with an air bubble at the top making it float... what happened... is it over fed or what???

Does sound like he was overfed.Give him a few days of no food(dont feed the tank if theres other fish,it wont hurt them to go a few without)then try to feed him some frozen daphnia or a blanched pea.Either will clean him out.If he is still swollen it could be swim bladder disease.Does he float too?Do you notice any raised scales anywhere?

nope he just looks extremely fat... no raised scales, swims perfectly fine and normal just fat..i thnk i might have ovr fed the last few days because of all the tiger barbs and 2 tin foil barbs that will eat literally anything that will go in that tank... so i have to compensate for the other fish...

Do you feed algae wafers in that tank? All my fish will feed on algae wafers and look bloated afterwards....looks pretty funny actually. I put them in for my Amanos, but fish usually get what's left.

Same thing happened to me one week ago to my dwarf flame. He was in such bad shape, not able to swim etc. so I sadly iced him. I was leaving for several days and I did not want a dead fish in my 10g that whole time. I hated it. He was one of my favorite fish.
Everybody else in there seems fine. I have moved some fish out of that tank and now he's gone, I'm taking jrman's advice and letting that tank be a bit understocked.

Alot of bloated fish end up dying from being backed up.They eat so much the pressure falls on the insides, and they cant poo good.So sorry for your loss.I would keep an eye on everyone else in the tank and be sure they dont come down with something. Also think of spot feeding the bottom dwellers from now on,to be sure they get the food and not a gluttonous fish from above.
