Smile Bleeding Hearts

Anyone know why my bleeding hearts are so scared of light?
They are all over the place when the light is off, but as soon as it turns on they hide and look litterely scared stiff.
They use to be in my 29 gallon (with purple gravel and tropical background. We thought that tank was too bright)
Now they are in my 75g. We have a dark blue background on the tank, black gravel, and plants.
So needless to say that we never turn the light on much especially when we feed that tank becauss they dont eat.
Such a mystery!

Any thoughts from the wise?

Could your light be sending a shock into your tank? Take the light out and try another type of light. If the same try a bulb less bright

We tried a dimmer light in the 29g that they were originally in, but they did the same thing. We will try a dimmer light in the 75 soon. If that doesnt work I dunno what else to do
