Hi everyone!
So I have an established tank with some random tetras, a marble Angel, and an upside down cat. I Found another beautiful angel I wanted to add to my tank. Hes a Wild peruvian Altum and is about the same size as my existing angel. Well I acclimated the new guy and introduced him to my tank and the existing angel has been chasing the new one around the tank and nipping at the new ones sides. I rearranged the tank somewhat (40 gallon) and turned the light off. It has only been about an hour but I was wondering if the existing angel will kill the new one? Will the territorial dispute calm down and everyone will get along? If so how long? Is there anything I can do to help the situation? Thanks for any advice you can give! |

Yes the marble will probably kill the altum. He was there first and has claimed the entire tank as his territory. Altums also need low ph to thrive in.

Try removing the marble for a day or so and then reintroducing him after you rearrange the tank some more.

I just seen that its a peruvian altum which isn't quite the same as a true altum. They can handle same water parameters as the marble. You can try doing as said above and remove the marble for a day or so and try it that way.
