Ac 70
Hi all, I picked up a used AC 70 plus filter media for a steal of $3.It seems the previous owner for some reason put oil on the magnets of the impeller,I guess for lube. The ? I have is will this effect the fish in any way? I'm not sure if the oil will get into the tank.Thanks for the help.

what kind of oil is it, like motor oil lol, from what i jsut researched for ya i foudn that some silicone based lubricants and cooking oil are aquarium safe...however how much was used because you are supposed to use as little as possible, so im sure that a massive amount could pollute the water, but if its a small amount it shouldnt be an issue
