This is my salt-water imititaion tank. It is really freshwater. Sorry for the bad picture. It was taken on my cell phone.

If u had used sand instead of gravel it would have looked more saltwaterish, but it is still pretty good.

I like the way you used artificial corals to start to give it the right look. Good going .

thanks guys. i was stuck between sand or gravel. with crushed coral sand, i would have had a hard time keeping down the pH. This would have worked great if it was for a cichlid or yellow lab tank. The important thing is this, the coral has soo many hiding places, so i can assure that the fish will be happy.

the fish is currently empty. I will be getting 12 cardinal tetras to start things off. I will put a few in there, and gradually put more in. Ill try to update you guys with some pictures!

So when are you gonna add the missing salt to the water and make it the real deal?

if u want it to really look SW, buffer up the pH and get some RVL cichlids(AKA assorted african cichlids). IMO cardinal tetras are a very FW-looking fish, while cichlids look so out of place in planted tanks and are perfect for SW imitation tanks.
