Default 10 gallon tank?

Would 5 white cloud minnows, 1 dwarf gourami, and 2 cory catfish survive in a 10 gallon tank?

The tank is not heated, but right now as i check the temperature its 78F.

Filtered by an Aqua Tech 5-15 Filter.

I do about a 5-10% water change each day.

-Thanks!

Do you already have them in there? Sounds like a little much for such a small tank. Water changes will help. Has the tank gone through the nitrogen cycle? Will they survive? Maybe not all of them. Just depends.

No they aren't in there yet. I was looking for some opinions. I was wondering if you knew if all fish met their "maximum size".

You should be okay, but you'd be pretty close to the max stocking of the tank (maybe another Cloud would be all you could add). Consider upgrading to the Aqua Tech 10-20 and adding a few shrimp.

Well, you'll have about 8 gallons of water in there and 8 fish that all go well over 1". Far exceeds the 1" per gallon rule, if you went by that. It is one thing to push stocking limits on larger tanks, but with a tank that size all you are asking for is trouble. Not much wiggle room here. You can thank the person who tells you what you want to hear, lol...still not good advice.

If the fish aren't in there yet, why are you changing water daily? If the tank was heavily planted and your filtration far exceeded (not just doubled) the rated size of the tank, you could possibly have healthy fish, but doubtful. Stranger things have happened....good luck.

I agree with Ben,you dont have much room to play with there. You can do the WCMM but I think thats about it,and I honestly think you should upgrade to a twenty just for the fish to have schooling room. Then you can add a few more too,but really, tens are too small for about anything.

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your valuable information. Generally 10 gallon tank supports the aquarium, it is fish and the added accessories which are placed within the aquarium. If you want to keep the fish in this tank, small fish are most appropriate along with other tiny creatures such as snails or shrimp.

Thanks a lot
