There have been some laws passed by the FWC and DOACS that now require us to carry a lincence to sell livestock and equipment for saltwater in the state of florida. I personally know a couple friends that have been hit with warnings on craigslist and other reef sites. The lincence is fairly cheap. Here is a link to my local reef club as we and a few other clubs are working with the FWC to make these rules a little more hobbist friendly.
FWC and DOACS - The Reef Tank in addition you must keep all your reciepts for livestock to show they did not come from florida waters. Right now they are warnings but wont be that way forever. |
