They are a legit site....If its anything like the ones sold on ebay but another legit source it will require alot of specialty tools to assemble rather then common ones. I looked into it and can build an identical one to the bookshelf styles for pennies on the dollar. Those stands are anywhere from 1500-3500 dollars for a professional to make per those plans.

Yeah they are good, check ebay though, they sell the packages cheaper there and to be honest there is NO SHAME in using blueprints to build a stand and taking pride in it.
I used this site for my framing blueprints Do It Yourself Aquarium Stand | Freshwater Cichlids Info top and bottom horizontals are 2x6 the rest is 2x4. I built mine to completely stay under the trim ring of the tank making the tank and stand structure flush, now I just glue on the panels and screw em and Ill have their bookcase plans for free. I prefer to build my framing myself to my weight/strength specs then use the idea of added stuff and panels but cut to my measurements per the frame height. Here is what mine looks like with the stand in place. 75g ![]() 210g ![]() these both utilize the link plans I put up well suggestion, I use 2x4 for verticles, 4x4 and 2x6 for corners and structure verticles and horizontals. as you can tell, the 75g stand is capable of 2k pound capacity and the 210g's stand is capable of nearly 4k pound capacity. |

Hi
I'm getting ready to do DIY stand for a 160g but want to run a 45 down from the front of the stand to attach to the wall to help transfer some of the weight off the floor. Has anyone tried this before? Any suggestions? Thanks, Vic
