Default fraging corals question

when fraging coral can you just glue it to a rock you want it to grow on? i have duncans polyps i want to grow off the sid of one of my rocks.

Its better to put them on a plug, then glue the plug onto the rock.

ok ill spot feed but my LFS gave me phytoplex instead of the marine snow and said it would be fine to drop 5ml in tank every 2 to 3 days.
