yes, yellow tang has lived happily for 5 years, and foxface for a little over a year. my last one i had for 3 years, when it sadly died due to an unfortunate accident involving falling live rock when i was placing a new coral.

In the shop, in a 20g tank, they are not there long enough for issues to arise. You ever kept a Tang to its full adult length, I'm betting the answer is no. They get quite large, QUITE LARGE! the tank requirements are not there just for the fun of it, but for the animals health!!
