Ok on day two of starting a new tank, have read to add a shrimp to take to help start your cycle, how big of a shrimp for a 10 gal tank(does it even matter), a whole shrimp or just a piece..thanks

and how long do i keep the shrimp in before i pull it out

when it starts to rot take it out.

I would just add macro algaes not use the shrimp.
