hi guys. I recently did some rearranging of my tank plants, and this is how I currently have it.
![]() I'm kinda new to aquascaping & the aquarium hobby, so I'm still learning this as I go. I'm a bit concerned about the bushy shorter fern like plant on the center right. It seems a bit yellow. Is this bad? As far as asthetics, I think I'm wanting to do some medium-sized plants staged center-right next to the taller plants to gradient the height change a bit Any suggestions on how to keep the plants from getting sucked to the filter intake? (I still would like to keep the intake and heater hidden) |

Looks nice.I would have to see better pics of the one you are questioning as I cant see it too good.
The one in the far right, java fern. You need to pull this up and tie it to a rock or driftwood. The horizontal stem cant be buried or the plant will slowly die.

Yeah fishing line or cotton thread. The thread will disentrigrate eventually but by that time the fern should be naturally attached.

I like the look of the tank. The only thing I don't like is how much space the rock is taking up. You could counteract that by filling every hole on that rock/wood with plants. I would get needle leaf type Java Fern. Just a suggestion?
Is it fake wood/rocks? If so, I'd also go natural. You shouldn't have a problem with your filter as long as you keep the plants away from it. |

I think the plant you are questioning is Wisteria (Hygrophila difformis). I can't really tell in your pic how healthy it is but it does tend to have a slightly golden color.
