Default Thoughts on lighting? (20wpg)
So I planted one of the 5 gals I had sitting around with some hairgrass. I have a c02 system but the stock hood that came with the tank wasn't going to cut it as far as lighting and I couldn't find anything else at my LFS that was within my price range. Off to Home Depot I went, where I purchased a fixture and a 100w (equivalent) compact fluorescent bulb. I think its 5500k. Is this going to be okay or am I asking for trouble here?

550k is a little cool, try 6500-6700K for plants. that bulb is wishy washy, its been debated on what they do, Ive used em and I dont think they do much but grow algae well.
