Hi, I'm looking at some 48" T8 bulbs for a fixture I just picked up to add more light to my aquarium. I've got 2 x 6500 T5HO bulbs in my GLO light fixture and want to add 2 more 6500k T8 bulbs in my new fixture.
My question is, is there any appreciable difference between a 6500k Coralife brand bulb and the 6500k GE I can pick up at Lowes. 2 Coralife at my local store run $44 where 2 GE are $8... Thanks in advance.

You can't use T8 bulbs in a T5HO fixture. You have to use T5HO bulbs.

I guess it could be worded better.
I have a GLO fixture and I have a new fixture. The new one takes the T8.
