Could be great, could be useless, but I'm banking on great. Scuff likes Marineland products, the reviews look good, and the lumen rating seems decent (though, it depends on the lenses/reflectors and the wavelength/frequency of light emitted).

Agreed,it could be great.Scuff should be able to tell you more.I believe I have read they do pretty good,but not too much for the most demanding plants.But they have been known to grow stems pretty well.I think carpeting plants are about all it wont grow well.

Personally I'd go with the Double Bright unit. The Single Bright is nice for smaller tanks, but I wouldn't trust it to put out the PAR and brightness you'd need for proper plant growth, especially in a taller tank like yours.
*edit* Keep in mind that if you wanted to do really exotic plants with LEDs, you're likely going to have either do a DIY LED setup, or get a fixture meant specifically for plants. The Marineland systems will do the trick with low to moderate light loving plants, but anything harder to keep would do much better under a custom setup.

thanks everone, ill look up some more and all, i want somthing slim and nice, im working on a canopy for the tank and want a new light for it
