Default Plants not growing much

Hey Guys,

Posting today because I'm curious why my plants don't seem to be perking up after some mods. I mean it's only been a weekish since the upgrades but I thought I would have seen improvement by now. Here's the mods:

1) Upgraded lighting
Got a good deal on these and they have made the tank a lot brighter

www.LEDwholesalers.com - MR16 3 x 1 Watt CREE LED XLamp XR-E 7090 12V White

2) Created a DIY CO2 tank/diffuser system
I'm tickled that I was able to create a CO2 system however I'm a little disappointed because again the plants don't seem to have changed much. I've been checking the PH and KH and they haven't changed. I have a "bell" diffuser so the bubbles and I have a fluval edge so the gas doesn't get out very well at all. For a couple days it was bubbling at one bubble/sec and now it's about one bubble/4-6 seconds.

What do you guys think? Should I just keep holding out for improvements? Did I do all those mods for nothing?

I didn't realize how difficult it would be to grow plants in the Fluval Edge. Did these mods because I was so disappointed with how the tank was developing.

Well, I do know that it will take longer to show improvements compared to how long it took to show poor growth. Some liquid plant ferts could help speed recovery.
