The one is growing like wild fire.. i have several new plants coming off as we speak.. i believe i have 6 new plants off that one... Now they other two just seem to be sitting there not doing much... ive cut the brown leafs off them but just seem to be doing nothing.. im worried they are about to die.. all 3 in same tank only 1 seems to be good.. have had them for almost a month and a half now. no clue whats going on.. any ideas?

Could you take a pic? What does the root structure look like? The roots should be a nice white color, dead roots will be browning. Also make sure the crown(there the leaves all come together)isnt completely buried,

That's happened to me twice now. The first time I bought 3 plants, they all died, but first chained off some babies. I bought 3 more, and they aren't chaining, but just sitting there doing nothing, with some of the leaves turning brown. I've tried planting them lightly, planting them deeper, root tabs. Chain swords do not like me. :(

IMHO the key is you're getting new plants even if some of the original die off.

wow sorry guys i forgot i even posted and apparently not been checking my email.. majerah1, I forgot to take photos but i believe i found out what was wrong with the two bad ones. i pulled them up and some of the roots where browning i think because there was some of that rock wool left on them.. i pulled it off and removed the brown roots and replanted them.. they seem to be doing a little better.. no browning leafs yet. the one is throwing off babies constantly from that plant alone i now have 6 growing babies. the other two are just sitting there.
beaslbob, Yea im glad im getting new ones but if the some of the plants die each time i must be doing something wrong. Just trying to maximize my plants life hopefully it works out now. I did a little remodel to my tank the other day. Placed down some sand over flourlite i really didnt like how it looked. removed a ton of plants from the top of the water im hoping more like will help..

Roots can be damaged when planting if they already have quite a few. If roots get damaged they die and rot and can cause the plant to stunt or die. I always cut all roots to about 1" just before I plant it. Minimizes or eliminates this issue and have never had a plant respond negatively to trimming the roots. Not sure what you normal practices are.

I have had a few plants here or there that would sit for a bit and not look like it is doing anything and then all of a sudden it takes off. Putting a piece of a root tab under before planting can perk it up. I don't have that issue in my tanks with CO2 as it wakes them up immediately.
